About the Australian Shepherd
Despite the name, the Australian Shepherd was developed in California in the 19th century to herd sheep for Basque immigrants who came from Australia. With their striking merle coats, blue or amber eyes, and intense drive, Aussies are working dogs at heart. They need a job or they'll create one โ often at the expense of your shoes.
