About the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Cavaliers were the lapdogs of British royalty — King Charles II was rarely seen without them, and the breed was named in his honor. After the king's death, the breed was crossed with Pugs and other dogs, but a 20th-century revival restored the original longer-nosed type. Today the Cavalier is a sweet, adaptable companion who adores everyone.
