About the Shiba Inu
The Shiba Inu is the smallest of Japan's six native spitz breeds and was originally used to flush birds and small game in mountainous terrain. Their independence, dignity, and almost cat-like cleanliness made them national treasures. The Shiba's confident personality and 'Shiba scream' have made them internet sensations.
