About the Maine Coon
The Maine Coon is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, developed from longhaired cats brought by seafarers to New England. They are the largest domestic cat breed, with males regularly exceeding 20 pounds. Their shaggy, water-resistant coat, tufted toes, and bushy raccoon-like tail help them thrive in cold climates.
