About the Ragamuffin
The Ragamuffin was created in the 1990s when a group of Ragdoll breeders split off to develop a similar but distinct breed. They allowed more colors and patterns, partnered with Persians and Himalayans, and produced a sweet, calm cat with a similar 'floppy' temperament. Ragamuffins come in every color and pattern.
Common health issues
Every breed has predispositions. Knowing them helps you watch for early signs and discuss screening with your vet.
20–30 min daily. They prefer play over acrobatics.
Brushing 2–3× per week. Silkier and less prone to matting than Persians.
Sweet and willing. Reward-based training works well.
